The United Kingdom’s climate pollution fell 2.4% in 2025, reaching their lowest level in more than 150 years. Coal use dropped to levels last seen in the 1600s, and gas use hit a 34-year low.
Record wind and solar power and nearly 700,000 new electric vehicles helped drive the change.
